Every year in June, thousands of students from around the world throw their graduation caps in the air in honor of finally having completed High School. Out of these thousands of students, more than half of them are about to embark on the most rewarding and fun, yet stressful four years of their life: college. Most of us dream about going to a big, fancy college from the time we learned what a college was, while the rest of us may have just started to get the ball rolling the beginning of our Senior Year. Regardless of how you chose to approach preparing for college, we all know that it is going to be one of the greatest times of our lives. As we grow up and mature, we begin to wish we had more freedom, we wish our parents weren’t so strict or that we didn’t have to be the perfect child all the time. With college life just around the corner, students become increasingly excited as they finally realize that their parents won’t be breathing down their neck telling them everything they must do. College life allows students to have the freedom to finally make all of their own decisions, such as underage drinking. Allowing them to become independent, strong-willed individuals one bad choice at a time. Students who drink are often faced with a range of consequences, from health impairments to academic failure.
